UI Components
As already described in the section how to create a section, UI components are not instantiated directly, they are declared via annotations on the PMO properties instead. When linkki is instructed to create a section based on a PMO, the annotations are read and corresponding UI components are instantiated. The components are arranged using the defined position and the layout defined by the @UISection
annotation.
linkki offers ready-to-use annotations for the most common UI components, which generate standard Vaadin elements or custom subclasses depending on the data type. These are prefixed with "@UI…".
These UI components can be divided in two groups: fields and buttons. Using the annotation @BindTooltip
, tooltips can be bound to these components. Additionally linkki allows for the creation of tables.
