linkki uses Java ResourceBundles to implement Native Language Support (NLS). This enables code to be independent of the locale that is later used for display. In addition, support for more languages can be easily added later on. A ResourceBundle is a simple text file which contains all translations for one specified language. In linkki, the so called PMO NLS Service uses this mechanism to localize Strings defined in linkki annotations such as captions or labels. It will translate String attributes automatically if the resource bundles are set up correctly with the according keys. The language of the browser defines which of the supported languages will be applied. In linkki the applied language is accessible via UiFramework.getLocale().
